Application Support Engineer

This role involves providing support for equity trading platforms and associated business applications, working closely with traders, sales, vendors, and tech teams to ensure smooth system operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support trading and middle-office applications.
• Identify and resolve production incidents and user issues.
• Analyze data and logs to detect issues and trends.
• Manage user onboarding, access reviews, and operational controls.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal tech teams to address issues.
• Assist with system upgrades, testing, and new business projects.
• Develop and update operational procedures and documentation.
• Participate in after-hours support as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Interest in financial markets and technology.
• Willingness to learn SQL, scripting, and support tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with databases, reporting, or data analysis.
• Familiarity with financial services, trading, or investment operations.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, PowerShell, or Linux.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
