Application Support Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Application Support Engineer
 
Position type: Contract (12 months w/ extension)
Location: San Leandro, CA 
Hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 day remote)
 
As an Application Support Engineer, you will:
 
Day to Day Responsibilities
•    Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability across production environments.
•    Respond to and resolve production incidents, outages, and application breakages.
•    Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and partner with engineering teams to implement permanent solutions.
•    Troubleshoot issues across application, API, and infrastructure layers.
•    Utilize observability tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, log analysis platforms) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
•    Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to diagnose performance bottlenecks and failures.
•    Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and support teams to improve application stability.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
•    Experience in application support, production support, SRE, or site reliability engineering roles.
•    Troubleshooting and debugging skills in complex production environments.
•    Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, log analysis platforms).
•    Experience supporting web-based applications and APIs in production.
•    Working knowledge of React applications and frontend architecture for troubleshooting.
•    Experience analyzing application logs, alerts, metrics, and performance data.
•    Understanding of REST APIs and client/server interactions.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $75 - $80 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
