    Description

    The Application Testing Supervisor (Hybrid) is responsible for the personnel management of all the Application Testers. The Supervisor will work closely to provide direction, mentor and coach while receiving guidance from management. They will also define the test strategy and approach, provide quality assurance leadership and be ultimately responsible for ensuring application quality.

    Duties & Responsibilities: 

    • Manage assigned application testing team, provide guidance, direction and leadership
    • Responsible for daily tasks of individuals within their span of control
    • Development, cultivation and evaluation of employees
    • Assist with staff maintenance through recruiting, selecting, orienting, promoting and any necessary terminations
    • Provide input to Business Unit Manager and Division Manager by providing input and feedback/challenges for decision making
    • Actively participate in and promote collaboration across teams to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs
    • Set and approve employee's work schedule
    • Verify and approve timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies
    • Document performance feedback and other personnel matters
    • Develop and drive a high-level QA strategy as well as take a hands-on approach to strategy implementation
    • Provide testing, project management and technical assistance where needed
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for emerging trends
    • Develop and execute strategic business plans to improve or remedy key indicators to improve the division
    • Establish, develop and present various testing topics/new technologies
    • Assist with the company wide prioritization of projects, requests and resources
    • Recommend design improvements and assist testers to achieve the highest standards of quality testing
    • Stay on the cutting edge of technology (trade magazines, web site, seminars, etc)
    • Continued education as outlined by executive management
    • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Report potential issues that may impact the company to management
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements: 

    • High school diploma, or equivalent, with related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • Ability to organize and lead highly effective teams of testers
    • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments at the  same time
    • Hands on experience with all facets of the software development life cycle
    • Solid decision making abilities and problem solving skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skill

    Market Range: 9 / Exempt / 40 hours a week / Hybrid - 3 days in office a week

    Salary Range: $59,819 - $96,375
