Applications Architect 

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Duration: 9 months Onsite

Seeking for an Applications Architect to support the modernization of core financial systems. You will work on the Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) project aimed at replacing outdated financial management systems by July 1, 2026. This role requires analyzing and documenting payroll distribution processes, reengineering journal vouchering processes, and supporting the transition to the PALM solution.

Responsibilities:

• Design and document application architectures using the Microsoft.NET ecosystem
• Define solution patterns and establish architectural standards
• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks and frameworks
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
• Review code and design artifacts for architectural compliance
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment strategies
• Guide migrations from legacy systems to .NET
• Produce and maintain architectural diagrams and technical documentation
• Assist with debugging and troubleshooting existing processes
• Coordinate with business analysts and developers for system remediation

Required Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT, with 2–3 years in architecture
• Advanced knowledge of architecture, applications systems design, and .NET integration
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful Services, Entity Framework, .NET Framework and Modern .NET (.NET 6), Microsoft Azure, CI/CD Pipelines, and front-end JavaScript libraries

Education:
