Immediate opening for an Applications Engineer in Rockledge, FL. who possesses:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
Experience in manufacturing, applications engineering, or design engineering.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and CAD models.
Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Understanding of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes preferred.
Experience working with an ERP system.
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with technical data.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a high-mix, high-variety production environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop concepts, layouts, and preliminary designs for custom aluminum case solutions.
Review customer requirements and develop practical, manufacturable product solutions.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and accurate quotes for custom products.
Support quoting, estimating, and concept-costing activities.
Interpret and analyze blueprints, CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications.
Work closely with engineering, production, and estimating teams to ensure product manufacturability.
Utilize ERP systems to support quoting and estimating processes.
Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through production.
Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
Present technical concepts and product solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
Serve as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering, production, and estimating teams.
Help ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into effective, manufacturable designs.
