Applications Programmer (Java)

The Applications Programmer (Java) <\/b>will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting complex enterprise -level software applications.<\/b> The role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and high -performing solutions using modern Java -based technologies and open -source frameworks<\/b>.

Key Responsibilities
<\/h2>

• Design, develop, enhance, maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise software applications
  <\/p><\/li>

• Build and maintain applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, Angular, HTML, and related technologies<\/b>
  <\/p><\/li>

• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and application code<\/b>
  <\/p><\/li>

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and validation scripts
  <\/p><\/li>

• Support system integration, performance testing, and user acceptance testing activities
  <\/p><\/li>

• Participate in technical design and code reviews<\/b> throughout the software development lifecycle
  <\/p><\/li>

• Ensure adherence to security standards, change management, project management, and service delivery processes
  <\/p><\/li>

• Support deployment, build, and release activities using industry -standard tools<\/b>
  <\/p><\/li>

• Be available for flexible work schedules, including off -hours or weekends as needed

  Requirements<\/h3>

  Minimum Qualifications
  <\/h2>

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field<\/b>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • At least 7 years<\/b> of experience in Java EE development and maintenance of enterprise applications<\/b>
    <\/p><\/li>

  • At least 5 years<\/b> of experience with tools and technologies such as:<\/b>
    <\/b><\/p>

    • Eclipse IDE, Git<\/b>
      <\/b><\/p><\/li>

    • Java/J2EE, Spring, Struts, JPA, Hibernate<\/b>
      <\/b><\/p><\/li>

    • Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3<\/b>
      <\/b><\/p><\/li>

    • JSP, Servlets, Web Services, REST APIs<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • At least 4 years<\/b> of experience writing complex SQL queries for relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar)<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • At least 4 years<\/b> of experience integrating Java applications with SQL, NoSQL, or MongoDB databases<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • At least 2 years<\/b> of experience developing Java -based REST APIs<\/b>
      <\/b><\/p><\/li>

    • Strong experience with n -tier and microservices -based architectures
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Preferred Qualifications
      <\/h2>

      • 10+ years<\/b> of experience developing or supporting large -scale, public -facing Java EE applications<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Experience with secure REST API development and API integrations<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Strong front -end integration experience using Angular and/or React<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, ANT, and Jenkins<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) implementations (e.g., JBoss Fuse)<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Familiarity with code security scanning tools such as Veracode, AppScan, or Fortify<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Knowledge of SOA and microservices architecture<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Experience with Agile software development methodologies<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Experience supporting complex eligibility, health, or human services systems is a plus
