Job Title: Applications Project Manager - Tissue & Towel (T&T)

The Applications Project Manager serves as a Tissue & Towel (T&T) product & market expert providing technical (some business) support and all levels of training to our commercial sales team located in North America (Canada and the US). Supports geographic/corporate growth initiatives by partnering with sales team to identify and facilitate progression of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies technical solutions by problem solving while also developing new applications, product selection, and optimal trial design strategy and execution.
  • Communicates with commercial team representatives and customers to better understand each customer-specific process, any ongoing problems, and potential chemical solutions.
  • Development of relationships and collaboration with technical and production leaders with ability to alter adverse situation into a business sustaining connection.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing NA T&T business and developing new product lines with R&D/Product Management while documenting all parts of product validation (technical, financial, sustainability, patents and regulatory).
  • Capability to manage smaller sections of an SBU or product line with minimal supervision and coaching from Product Management, R&D and/or Applications Team Manager.
  • Acts as a safety leader in training and education both internal and external customers.

Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions of the Job (30%):

  • Support area growth and pursuit of new business opportunities with sales team collaboration, onsite audit support of competitive applications, product selection, application recommendations, and successful trial preparation and execution.
  • Field support of customer applications by troubleshooting and best practice management/standardization and sustaining business.
  • New product development and portfolio growth via idea generation with R&D and commercialization i.e., product launch management and validation projects.
  • Conduct group and individual training of commercial sales team as well development and dissemination of internal and external training materials and technical literature including product safety, best practices, etc.
  • Trial reporting, administration, and associated communications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree Science and/or Engineering; or equivalent relevant industry experience. (Will consider 10+ years of experience instead of a degree)
  • Experience: 10+ years of industry experience
  • Prior direct value sales experience with understanding of business fundamentals and/or past position experience requiring influencing skills
  • Expertise in administration and management of chemical applications
  • Project management experience requiring planning, directing, managing, and execution of large projects in team setting
  • Troubleshooting experience of complex situations requiring organized problem-solving effort
  • Capable of understanding the value and execution of marketplace initiatives and managing multiple support projects with little management input.

Expected Compensation Range:

The expected compensation range for this position is between $121,500.00 and $202,500.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
