We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Applications Specialist to support the application of emergency lighting systems in commercial environments, including exit signage, egress illumination, and inverter-based emergency power systems.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate, code-compliant emergency lighting system solutions.
- Prepare technical quotations, proposals, and submittals while ensuring system performance and compliance with applicable electrical and life safety codes.
- Evaluate emergency lighting systems, including inverters, transfer devices, and exit/egress lighting, to ensure proper operation under normal and emergency power conditions.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, contractors, distributors, and customers to clarify project requirements and provide application-level technical support.
- Identify design gaps, compatibility issues, and code compliance risks while recommending practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities, customer technical discussions, troubleshooting, and product training to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Must have 3+ years of experience in electrical/lighting applications, technical sales support, or system design
- Must have strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and power distribution
- Must have ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Must have working knowledge of NFPA 101, NEC, and IBC
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
