APPLICATIONS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Applications System Administrator

This position is responsible for the development and support of applications for the enterprise.

The employee will have the responsibility to:

• Serve as a technical expert in system administration for complex enterprise systems.
• Recommend the redesign, deployment, and configuration of operating systems and system applications.
• Investigate and analyze feasibility of system requirements and develop system specifications.
• Develop and coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations.
• Track the day-to-day operations of the host computers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair. Ensure that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Install, modify, and maintain systems and utility software on server computer systems.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in Computer Science or related discipline; and
• Four (4) years' work experience in complex systems design, programming and systems software and support; or
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Network+ and Security+ certifications are preferred

Special Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license by date-of-hire
• Must be able to pass FBI criminal background fingerprint check and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for Criminal Justice Information Security (CJIS) standards.
