Ledgent Technology is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and AI-powered applications that solve real business problems. This role will focus on evaluating LLMs, developing agent-based solutions, and partnering with business and technical teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop AI agents and AI-powered applications
• Build solutions utilizing LLMs, RAG, tool orchestration, reasoning chains, and workflow automation
• Evaluate AI models based on accuracy, cost, performance, and scalability
• Create frameworks to measure and monitor AI agent effectiveness in production
• Partner with data engineering and business teams to deliver practical AI solutions
• Help establish AI governance, best practices, and lifecycle management
• Communicate technical concepts and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Experience building and deploying AI agents or AI-powered applications
• Strong Python development experience
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering
• Understanding of machine learning, statistics, model evaluation, and data quality
• Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, testing, and production support practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams

Preferred

• MLOps or AIOps experience
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
