Summary
To support the launch and growth of Moffitt's new Department of Translational Pathology, we are recruiting Applied Postdoctoral Fellows (MDs with formal anatomic pathology training) to accelerate biomarker-guided oncology and strengthen clinic-to-lab translation. Fellows receive advanced research training while contributing to team-based efforts and leading focused projects under limited supervision.
Chaired by Ignacio Wistuba, MD, the Department of Translational Pathology bridges research and clinical care by embedding discovery into clinical-trial correlative studies and biomarker development. In partnership with Moffitt's Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) program, the department is building integrated platforms spanning molecular and immunologic profiling, spatial "omics," genomic profiling, and computational pathology to rapidly translate insights into trials that inform treatment decisions and personalize care. Training opportunities emphasize solid tumors and hematologic malignancies across histology, IHC, multiplex IF, spatial proteomics/transcriptomics, and data-driven pathology.
