Conferences, Educational Testing, Federal Laws and Regulations, Quality Assurance Methodology, Service Delivery, Special Education, State Laws and Regulations, Training/Teaching
- Indiana license in Special Education or ability to obtain an alternative special education license.
- Possess skills to engage with students with mild-to-intense special education needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in accordance with their academic and behavioral goals.
- Provide academic instruction and focus on essential daily living, social, and functional skills.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional strategies and materials to meet the evolving needs of students.
- Possess knowledge of special education principles, testing, methods, federal and state laws, etc.
- Possess knowledge of differentiated instruction for individual students' learning styles.
- Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and team discussions, providing input and updates on student progress.
- Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other professionals to ensure the delivery of appropriate services and support for students.
