Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated
Apprentice Electrician to join their growing team supporting industrial automation and electrical installation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build hands-on experience while working alongside experienced Journeyman Electricians on cutting-edge automation systems.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, eager to learn, and willing to travel to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Journeyman Electricians with electrical installation and automation projects.
- Read and work from electrical diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
- Install tubing for instrumentation systems.
- Pull wire through conduit and properly label wiring.
- Connect wiring to controllers, PLCs, and instrumentation devices.
- Mount instruments and PLC components within electrical panels.
- Assist with testing electrical circuits for continuity and compatibility using multimeters and other testing equipment.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of wiring, connections, and installed equipment.
- Observe installed systems to identify potential hazards or equipment requiring adjustment or repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications- Basic knowledge of electrical installation practices and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn industrial electrical and automation systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of experienced electricians.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Professional attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to producing quality work while meeting productivity expectations.
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments.
Tools & Equipment Used
Experience or familiarity with the following is helpful:
- Hand tools
- Power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
- Conduit cutters and threading equipment
- Tubing benders and cutters
- Multimeters (volt, amp, and ohm meters)
