What you can expect in this role:- Assist licensed electricians with the installation of residential standby generators and associated electrical equipment.
- Help install conduit, wiring, transfer switches, electrical panels, and other generator-related components.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment while learning proper installation techniques.
- Follow all electrical codes, company standards, and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.
- Complete required documentation, including installation notes, materials used, and job progress.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while representing the company on every job.
- Continuously develop your electrical knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship.
The skills/experience you'll need to be considered for this role:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical, construction, or a related trade preferred (electrical apprenticeship experience is a plus but not required).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and job site safety preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the electrical trade.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
