Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician for a contract opportunity in Mansfield, TX. This position will work under the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician to support electrical installation and instrumentation tasks for automation systems. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Work from diagrams and schematics to assist with wiring instruments and preparing sites for automation system design and programming.

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.

• Install tubing for instrumentation systems.

• Pull wiring through conduit and label appropriately.

• Connect wiring to controllers and instrumentation devices.

• Assist with testing continuity of circuits using testing equipment such as multimeters (volt, amp, and ohmmeter).

• Mount instruments and PLCs in control panels using hand and power tools.

• Observe installed equipment and systems to identify potential hazards or required adjustments.

• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring and connections.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all site safety protocols.

Tools & Equipment Used

• Hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, etc.)

• Conduit cutters and related machinery

• Multimeters

• Tubing benders and cutters

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical systems or electrical construction.

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics preferred.

• Willingness to learn automation and instrumentation installation practices.

• Ability to follow installation instructions and safety requirements.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.
