Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and fabrication processes.
- Operate various tools and machinery, including shears, brakes, and welders, to shape and assemble sheet metal components.
- Measure and cut metal sheets to specified dimensions with accuracy.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any fabrication issues that may arise during the production process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in metal fabrication or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a sheet metal fabricator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery related to sheet metal work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
