APRN/PA Family Medicine

Full-time Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed to join Dr. Widick and his established office-based practice at our Highlands Clinic. Hours are generally Monday, Tues, Thursday and Friday, 7 am - 5:30 pm (or until all patients are seen).

At least 1+ years of previous experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is preferred.

Job Duties include:

• Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients (17+), including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice
• Accurately performs a history and physical examinations
• Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate
• Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures
• Completes necessary documentation promptly
• Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician
• Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status
• Documents examination results & records progress notes and provide continuity of care.

Required:

• BLS certification is required.
• APRN/PA board certification is required.
• Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required.
