Description
The Dimond Park Aquatic Center is hiring!
Under general supervision of the pool supervisor, this position assists with a wide variety of clerical duties where method and procedures for completing the work are clearly established at the aquatic facility. This position will also be responsible for monitoring and assurance of guest safety and satisfaction during party activities and will be responsible for enforcement of safety rules.
This position may also monitor and control traffic on the water slides to maintain safety, and be responsible for monitoring slide user height to insure safe practices are maintained. This position will provide first aid as required.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with the public and understand the importance of aquatics in our community. This job can be fast paced, dealing with a large influx of customers during busy open swims, but also has down time where employees will be expected to tidy and organize their work area.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
This position works out of the Dimond Park Aquatic Center. Hours vary as the facility is open seven days a week opening as early as 5:30am and closing after 8pm.
Typical Responsibilities
The main duties of this position include, cash handling and maintaining/rectifying a cash drawer, using a computer to operate the point of sales software, answering phones, directing calls and/or taking messages and functioning as a slide attendant monitoring the height of guests wishing to use the water slides and enforcing safe operation rules. You may also be asked to assist guests in obtaining first aid. You will have to become knowledgeable of department operations and be able to assist guests with questions about the pool schedule, programs and making reservations. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lobby area, lost and found items, and event rooms as well as assisting with the setup and cleanup of the even rooms before and after reservations.
Minimum Qualifications
Not less than 16 years of age at time of appointment, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
