The City of Bellingham Parks Department is currently accepting applications for part-time, non-benefited Aquatic Center Cashiers. Cashier shifts are between the hours of 5:30 am and 9:15 pm Sunday through Saturday. Employees work 3-15 hours per week.
This is an on-going recruitment to fill current and future staffing needs throughout the year based on departmental needs. The initial application review will begin on May 8, 2026. This recruitment may be closed at any time.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Aquatic Center Cashier collects admissions; processes purchase of passes and class registrations; answers questions regarding hours, class schedules and fees; greets customers and provides information regarding facilities and programs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS INFORMATION:
This position will start at Step 1 ($19.89/hour). Employees receive step increases on completion of 2080 hours in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and City policy. The full hourly range for this position is $19.89 - $25.94.

Work is generally performed in an office environment, with frequent interaction with the public in person and by telephone. Requires some walking on wet or slick surfaces around pool area and some lifting of heavy supplies and materials.
