Job Summary
Loudoun Countys Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Aquatics Coordinator. Oversee multiple facets of a specific program or collection of programs and direct the personnel within the assigned department, under the comprehensive supervision of the appointed site operations manager. This role involves advocating for program services within the community, managing the program budget, and ensuring the effective delivery of program services. It also includes maintaining program records, evaluating program revenue and success, and supervising or offering guidance to assigned staff members.
If you have an aquatics background, can foresee potential problems, and have the specialty skills needed to solve them, then this could be the position youve been looking for. This position requires continual direction and oversight of aquatics operations and programming. A successful candidate will be able to communicate, solve problems, adapt to changing situations, think critically, and work as a team.

This position is eligible for a $3,000.00 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree in Leisure and Recreation Service or a closely related field is required.; two (2) years of relevant work experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must be physically able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
Must undergo pre-employment screenings for criminal, credit, and DMV backgrounds.
A valid drivers license and a good driving record are required; annual checks of driving records may be conducted to confirm continued eligibility.
All certifications must be obtained within the departments required timelines and include the following:
Pool Operators license
Lifeguard Instructor Certification required at time of hire
Water Safety Instructor
CPR and First Aid
First Aid Instructor certifications
Successful candidate must complete Bloodborne Pathogen and facility-specific building and pool systems training and County required Supervisory Courses to include E-learning.
Must attain any other certifications or training needed by the Department for the specific area of responsibility.
