Job Title: Aquatics Manager

Location: Kirtland Aquatic Center, Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM
Schedule: Monday Friday, supporting pool operations between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

GD Resources is seeking a qualified Aquatics Manager to oversee daily lifeguard staffing and aquatic safety operations at the Kirtland Air Force Base indoor pool.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and schedule certified lifeguards.

• Maintain at least three lifeguards during every operational session, including required break coverage.

• Serve as the primary on-site liaison with Government representatives.

• Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are completed.

• Maintain employee certifications, schedules, safety logs, and quality-control records.

• Ensure water-quality tests, safety-equipment inspections, patron sign-in, and facility-upkeep duties are completed.

• Coordinate employee training and certification renewals.

• Oversee emergency response and ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Current nationally recognized Lifeguard/Water Rescue certification.

• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.

• Current AED and Standard First Aid certifications.

• Previous lifeguarding, aquatic operations, or supervisory experience.

• Strong scheduling, leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to meet required swimming and water-rescue proficiency tests.

• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force Base.

A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent aquatic facility management credential is strongly preferred.
