Aquatics Manager (Swim Instructor + Leadership Role)

Lead a team. Work with kids. Make a real impact every day.

AquaTech Swim is hiring full-time Aquatics Manager for our Alameda campus. If you’re a confident, people-first leader who enjoys working with kids, coaching others, and staying active, this is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll make a difference every day.

This is not a desk job — you’ll be on deck, in the water, and working directly with your team.

Pay & Benefits

  • $25–$29/hour starting pay
  • Fully paid 4-week training
  • Full-time, year-round position
  • Consistent weekly schedule
  • Supportive, team-focused environment
  • Meaningful work helping kids build confidence and life skills

Schedule

Full-Time | 5 days per week

  • Weekdays: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Weekends: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Must be available for at least one weekend day (both preferred)

Location

2203 Mariner Square Loop, Alameda, CA 94501

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead daily operations while working side-by-side with your team:

  • Lead and support swim instructors during shifts
  • Teach swim lessons using our structured curriculum
  • Stay active on deck and in the water throughout your shift
  • Coach and develop team members in real time
  • Ensure safety standards are followed at all times
  • Communicate clearly with families and staff
  • Help onboard and train new instructors
  • Keep the team organized, accountable, and running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

  • 18+ and high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • 1+ year of leadership or team lead experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, organized, and positive under pressure
  • Comfortable working in and around water
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Experience working with kids is a big plus
  • Aquatics experience is helpful, but not required

Work Environment

This is an active, fast-paced role:

  • Warm indoor pool (89–92°F)
  • On your feet and moving throughout your shift
  • Working on a wet pool deck
  • Lifting/assisting children (20–50 lbs)
  • High-energy, team-oriented environment

Why This Role Stands Out

At AquaTech Swim, you’re not just managing — you’re leading from the front.

You’ll:

  • Build and mentor a team
  • Help kids gain confidence in the water
  • See the impact of your leadership every day
