  • Job Summary
  • Under supervision of a Communications Supervisor serves as a Communications Operator for the Citys communications system as well as the E-911 system. Answers all police fire emergency medical service and other assigned calls from the public and dispatches personnel and vehicles to the scene of an emergency based upon the nature and location of the call. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Essential Job Duties
  • Operates radios telephones alarm board computer terminals and printer in performing assigned duties.
  • Monitors switchboard takes pertinent information regarding emergency and non-emergency calls.
  • As appropriate dispatches fire police emergency medical services park ranger andor animal control personnel in response to calls.
  • Performs data inquiriesentries into NCICGCIC computer.
