Accounts Receivable Analyst

Location: Bedford Hills, NY
Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing the full accounts receivable lifecycle, including invoicing, cash applications, account reconciliations, and collections support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoys partnering with internal teams and customers to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and payment tracking
• 
  
• Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable balances
• 
  
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices
• 
  
• Analyze aging reports and assist with collection efforts
• 
  
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer account inquiries
• 
  
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation
• 
  
• Assist with month-end close activities related to AR
• 
  
• Maintain accurate customer records and update account information as needed
• 
  
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting teams to resolve payment issues
• 
  
• Generate AR reports and provide analysis on outstanding balances
• 
  
• Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 
  
• 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong understanding of AR processes, cash applications, and reconciliations
• 
  
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
