Accounts Receivable Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Accounts Receivable Analyst to join a fast-paced finance team. This role is responsible for monitoring customer accounts, researching account discrepancies, analyzing outstanding balances, and supporting the overall accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain assigned customer accounts to ensure accurate account balances and timely payment activity.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies, payment variances, deductions, and short payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate outstanding balances.
- Analyze aging reports and account activity to identify and resolve issues impacting cash flow.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve billing, payment, and account-related inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain account documentation, reports, and supporting records.
- Assist with customer account adjustments, refunds, and other account maintenance activities.
- Generate and analyze reporting to support financial and operational decision-making.
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders regarding account activity and issue resolution.
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of transactions while meeting deadlines and service expectations.
- Support additional Accounts Receivable and finance-related projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, finance, customer account management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable communicating with customers regarding account matters.
