Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to oversee our outstanding receivables and ensure timely client payments. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of active accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain excellent professional relationships with our B2B clients. The ideal candidate possesses a strong balance of analytical financial skills and diplomatic communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
Account Monitoring: Review and analyze AR aging reports daily to identify delinquent accounts.
Collections Management: Conduct proactive outreach via phone and email to secure outstanding balances while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment shortfalls, and client disputes by collaborating with sales and account management teams.
Payment Processing: Post and reconcile daily cash receipts, electronic transfers, and credit card payments to the general ledger.
Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing collection progress, aging metrics, and bad debt risks for management review.
Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to streamline the invoicing and billing cycle.

Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in business-to-business (B2B) accounts receivable, credit, or collections.
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with mid-to-large-tier ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of diplomatic negotiation.
Organization: Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize a high volume of accounts autonomously.
