About the Role

Our client is seeking an AR/Collections Specialist to join their accounting team with a primary focus on B2B collections and accounts receivable. The AR/Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing customer accounts, following up on outstanding balances, resolving payment issues, and helping ensure timely payment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Lead B2B collections efforts, monitoring aging and proactively following up on past-due invoices to improve cash flow and reduce DSO
• 
  
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment status, billing questions, and invoice discrepancies
• 
  
• Apply customer payments, maintain accurate AR records, and resolve account discrepancies
• 
  
• Support billing activities, including customer invoicing, credits, rebills, and account maintenance
• 
  
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, audits, and other accounting projects as needed
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 1–5+ years of B2B accounts receivable and/or collections experience
• 
  
• Strong understanding of AR aging, collections, cash application, and customer account reconciliation
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• 
  
• Experience working with an ERP system is preferred
• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
•
