Accounts Receivable / E-Commerce Specialist
Location: South Bend, IN
We are seeking a strong Accounts Receivable professional with hands-on e-commerce experience to provide temporary support for a growing accounting team in South Bend.
This position is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, takes initiative, and can step into an established AR process and quickly get up to speed. Experience working with Shopify and e-commerce transactions is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Process and send customer invoices based on daily shipments
Post and reconcile cash receipts from e-commerce/customer platforms
Work with Shopify and other online customer platforms to research payments and transaction activity
Support AR activity for high-volume customers and e-commerce accounts
Review shipping reports and ensure shipments are accurately invoiced
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, shortages, payment differences, and other AR-related issues
Communicate with customers regarding AR questions primarily through email
Assist with batching and other daily AR processes
Utilize Excel to organize, reconcile, and analyze AR information
What We’re Looking For
Strong hands-on Accounts Receivable experience
Shopify and/or e-commerce accounting experience strongly preferred
Experience processing invoices and posting cash receipts
Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
Ability to research discrepancies and independently problem-solve
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accuracy
Positive, professional attitude and strong communication skills
Self-starter who can work independently without requiring constant direction
