Oriol Health Care is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist/ Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis (40 hours/ week). This is an on-site position in Holden, MA.

 

Pay Range (depending on experience): $25-30/hr

$1,000 Retention Bonus Available!

 

Educational:

Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of AR & Billing equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Medicare/Medicaid experience - preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Knowledge of MMIS and FISS Systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to prioritize and self-task


Essential Functions of AR Specialist

  • Post cash deposits.
  • Dailey Census
  • Ancillary review for accuracy and input in billing system
  • Maintain resident account balances.
  • Responsible for billing- Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Private Pay.
  • Answer phone calls regarding billing issues.
  • Work aging to include calling insurance companies, sending corrected claims and appeals.
  • Enter authorizations on all SOC’s once completed.
  • Participate in monthly aging review.
  • Maintain a private pay folder with receipts and invoices.
  • May prepare and communicate financial reports weekly and monthly.
  • Updates software with rates.
  • May review co-payments with clients
  • Maintain ageing and ensure all claims are paid timely.
  • Maintain resident account balances in a timely manner
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

Physical Requirements:     

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
