Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Staatsburg, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Staatsburg area that is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist to its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
• 
  
• Process customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card transactions
• 
  
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on past-due balances
• 
  
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• 
  
• Maintain accurate AR records and customer account information
• 
  
• Prepare aging reports and assist with collections efforts
• 
  
• Work closely with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues
• 
  
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Support other accounting projects as needed
• 
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting experience
• 
  
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 
  
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• 
  
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
• 
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• 
  
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
•
