Arborist Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming to promote healthy growth and safety.
• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely to access high branches and difficult-to-reach areas.
• Support rigging operations for complex tree removals or limb removals using arborist rigging techniques.
• Conduct plant pruning care, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping tasks.
• Follow strict safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to ensure personal and team safety.
• Participate in tree care assessments, including dendrology (study of trees) to identify species and health conditions.

Skills

• Basic outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture or landscape maintenance.
• Familiarity with tree care practices such as tree trimming, pruning, and tree removal.
• Ability to operate equipment like chainsaws and bucket trucks safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe limb removal and complex tree work.
• Understanding of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and equipment use in outdoor environments..
• Growing experience in landscaping, lawn care, or Arbor culture enhances your candidacy.
