Arborist & Landscape Inspector (Department of Environmental Resources Management)

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience in grounds/vegetation maintenance or tree trimming is required. Must obtain an ISA Certified Arborist Certification within one year of hire. Must possess a Driver license.

Recruitment Notes

This incumbent's duties include, but are not limited to, performing routine inspections of landscape maintenance activities performed by in-house crews and contractual service providers throughout Miami-Dade County; operating equipment such as blowers, chainsaws, and pole saws; trimming and removing hazardous vegetation; identifying other safety concerns throughout the County, as needed; and assessing and evaluating County-owned trees and other related assets.
