Job Skills / Requirements
SUMMARY:
Maintain trees and shrubs, through systematic pruning and integrated pest management as part of an overall plant health care program for the landscape at a client site in the southwest region of the United States. Supervise and perform daily, specialty tasks such as cabling, bracing, and safe removals of trees. Maintain digital records of plant health assessments, removal inventory, and related storm damage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Essential aspects of this position include:
Plans, oversees and performs tree maintenance operations.
Supports grounds manager by monitoring budget for labor hours and material purchases.
Performs personnel reviews on all arborist employees.
Performs routine, frequent grounds inspections.
Plans and monitors preventive maintenance program for all grounds related equipment.
Conducts routine, frequent meetings with client staff regarding grounds and tree maintenance.
Ability to operate motor vehicles, lift/move equipment, materials, supplies and tools; wear protective clothing as required by client and company.
Communicate with sub-contractors and ensure they follow Client safety guidelines.
Keep a daily log to notate issues and progress during the year. 10. Keep all logs up to date.
Perform safety training.
Ability to understand specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment.
Required to follow all company, client, and regulatory agency policies.
