The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to oversee all warehouse and dock operations and maintain safety on the dock.
Responsibilities • Oversee all warehouse and dock operations, maintaining order and safety in the warehouse and dock for all items being loaded or unloaded. • Supervise operation of forklift as necessary, being sure operators observe all safety regulations. • Supervise operation of scales and proper recording of weights. • Supervise and oversee Beneficiary on Baler and all baling operations. • Direct all incoming material to proper staging areas, being sure saleable items are not thrown away. • Oversee all personnel, paid and unpaid, holding staff accountable for appropriate behavior and language on dock. • Supervise the loading and unloading of all ARC trucks and Certified Collection Center (CCC) units and loading of bale trucks. • Give particular attention to supervising and giving guidance to beneficiaries on work therapy assignment in the warehouse and dock. • Handle duties of Production/General Supervisor in their absence.
This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).
Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator for Business.
Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication skills. Two (2) years transportation, warehouse, and/or loading dock experience. Driver's license preferred.
