    Position Description:

    ARCH 6311 Design Media (grad) is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support new M. Arch students in developing critical design skills. The TA will work with the instructor to gain valuable teaching experience through classroom instruction and independent preparation. Applicants must be proficient in Rhino and Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); photography and physical model-making skills are a plus. Preference will be given to graduate students who have completed this course or an equivalent, though all are encouraged to apply.

    Expected Duties:

    The Teaching Assistant must be available to attend all class sessions (Tu/Th, 11:00am - 12:15pm). Responsibilities include:

    • Lead workshops introducing software skills to ~10 first-year M. Arch students
    • Provide in-class guidance in skillsharing
    • Participate in discussions
    • Hold weekly office hours
    • Handling administrative tasks as needed

    Proposed Schedule:

    5-10 hours per week, including mandatory class attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am - 12:15pm.
