Position Overview
Instill proper knowledge, skills, and attitude with participants. Provide high quality instruction, direct leadership, and mentorship in all archery venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructs and coaches guests in a classroom or range environment
- 100% accountability of all equipment at all times
- Maintains all equipment
- Provides guests with top-tier archery programs and completes range tasks
- Ensures range safety procedures are followed
- Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
- Required: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor (training provided)
- Required: 1+ year leading teams, prefer 1+ year Summit Employment
- Preferred: Experience in competitive shooting or hunting, any discipline
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
Physical & Practical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
- Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
