Required Skills:

• Building production services end to end
• Kubernetes, containers, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, secrets/RBAC, and multi-tenant service design
• Strong on GCP (GKE, Vertex AI, IAM, VPC Service Controls, BigQuery)
• LLM and agent runtimes, multi-agent and sub-agent orchestration, A2A and MCP/tool integration
• Identity-aware access, PII/PHI handling, runtime guardrails, gateway/policy-as-code, and audit/observability
• Fluent with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Windsurf or equivalent)
• Strong Python skills (and typically one of Go / Java / TypeScript)

Role and responsibilities:

• Design the reference architecture and personally build the hardest pieces of the platform
• Own the paved road — the reference architecture and the reusable registration pattern
• Build the lifecycle registries and AI control-plane services
• Develop the agent-building paved road for quick deployment of new agents
• Deliver platform features as agents where applicable
• Ensure portability in code by containerizing everything
• Set the engineering bar for testing, CI/CD, IaC, and security-by-default standards
• Mentor senior engineers and review the team's hardest designs and pull requests
• Build with AI and develop agents end to end

Job description:

The most senior engineer on the team, serving as the technical anchor for the platform. Responsible for designing the reference architecture and personally building the most challenging components such as lifecycle registries, AI control-plane services, and harness/memory services. The role involves setting patterns for the team, building the agent-building paved road, delivering platform features as agents, enforcing code portability, and setting high engineering standards. The candidate will also mentor senior engineers and contribute to building with AI.
