Colby Co. Engineering (Colby Co.) is seeking an Architect to join their team. This position can be fully remote for the right candidate living in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts.

Colby Co. Engineering is a privately held, multi-disciplinary team of engineers (civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, fire protection) and architects who work together on a wide range of projects from new construction, historical building renovations to facilities engineering and infrastructure.

Requirements of the Architect:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
  • 5-10 years of project experience in an architectural practice
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Proficient in current version of AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Architectural Registration (any State)

Responsibilities of the Architect:

  • Research, plan, assess and design a variety of building projects
  • Provide technical guidance and coordinate with the technical team, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering
  • Work with the project team to prepare presentations and produce documents from schematic design through to the construction phase
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
