Lead Power BI Developer - MicroStrategy (MSTR) to Power BI Migration

10+ Years of BI & Analytics Experience with 5+ years of Power BI development and architecture experience

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Power BI Developer to migrate the enterprise reporting and dashboards from MicroStrategy (MSTR) to Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI architecture, dashboard modernization, semantic modeling, DAX optimization, data visualization, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze existing MicroStrategy (MSTR) dashboards, reports, metrics, attributes, prompts, filters, transformations, consolidations, and reporting logic, and accurately recreate and enhance them in Power BI.

Responsible for end-to-end migration of reports and dashboards from MicroStrategy to Power BI, ensuring seamless transition and minimal business disruption.

Collaborate with Business, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to gather requirements, understand reporting needs, and translate business objectives into scalable BI solutions.

Understand and validate source systems, data lineage, data mappings, and business rules to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.

Design and develop enterprise-grade Power BI solutions, including semantic models, reusable datasets, data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, hierarchies, and interactive visualizations

Compare existing Power BI dashboards against MicroStrategy reports, identify gaps, and implement required modifications and enhancements to achieve report parity and improved user experience

Build advanced Power BI capabilities, including drill-through, drill-down, bookmarks, field parameters, dynamic KPIs, scorecards, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Object-Level Security (OLS).

Perform comprehensive report and data validation, ensuring migrated dashboards align with legacy MicroStrategy outputs and meet functional, business, and data quality requirements

Drive performance optimization initiatives by fine-tuning data models, DAX calculations, report rendering, dataset refresh processes, and overall dashboard responsiveness

Recommend and implement value-added improvements beyond existing MicroStrategy capabilities, including dashboard modernization, visualization best practices, reporting governance, and advanced analytics features.

Knowledge of Talend ETL and AWS is a added advantage
