This role serves as the bridge between the design community and the Fishman sales organization by identifying projects, securing specifications, and supporting successful project execution.

    Remote/Hybrid work is available for this position; however, some office time will be required. Candidates must be located within the Maryland, Washington, D.C., or Northern Virginia area.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, specifiers, and end users to drive product specification opportunities
    • Promote and specify flooring products for commercial construction, renovation, and design projects
    • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new project opportunities within the architectural and design community
    • Collaborate with sales representatives and internal teams to convert specifications into successful sales opportunities
    • Provide product recommendations, technical expertise, and specification support to architects, designers, and project stakeholders
    • Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and market developments to identify business opportunities
    • Delight the customer by providing responsive support throughout the design, specification, and project completion process

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, interior design, architecture or a related field
    • Previous experience in specification sales or architectural design; commercial flooring industry experience preferred
    • Experience working with architects, designers, and specifiers to influence product selection
    • Knowledge of commercial flooring applications, product positioning, building codes (ADA/IBC), and LEED/sustainability standards
    • Strong skills in relationship building, presentation, communication, and public speaking
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a sales team
    • Excellent territory management, organizational, and strategic planning skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and a valid driver’s license
