Description

Snipebridge, a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities in the Architecture & Planning industry, is seeking a Architectural Designer.

CLIENT

Our CLIENT is a full-service boutique residential architecture and interior design studio based in Los Angeles. The firm was founded by two experienced architects and is built around an integrated design philosophy. Treating architecture, interior architecture, and interior design as a single, unified discipline rather than separate scopes.

The studio works across the full residential spectrum: intimate interior renovations, complete architectural remodels, and large-scale custom new construction. It is known for its highly personal, hands-on approach, distinctive design aesthetic, and sensitivity to clients' individual lifestyles. The firm has offices in Los Angeles and Northern California, with an active and growing project pipeline.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Designer to join this collaborative team in their Los Angeles studio. This is a hands-on role at the core of project delivery that owns the drawing set, coordinates the consultant team, and ensures the design vision translates into buildable, permit-ready documents. In this position, you will work directly alongside the founding partners and gain exposure across all phases of a project. This is a role for someone who wants meaningful design involvement, not just production throughput.

The ideal candidate has a strong command of interior architecture. Understanding how space, materials, lighting, and details come together combined with the technical fluency to lead a project through construction documents and into the field. Single-family residential experience is a strong plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead concept development and schematic design across all project types
  • Collaborate on the production of construction document sets across all project phases from design development through permit submission and construction administration
  • Coordinate across all consultant disciplines and serve as a point of contact for contractors and consultants during the documentation and construction phases
  • Develop interior architecture across spatial relationships, millwork and cabinetry packages, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, finish and material schedules, and lighting details
  • Conduct site visits to verify construction progress against drawings and design intent
  • Collaborate directly with the founding partners on design development decisions
  • Navigate the permitting process, plan check responses, and code compliance across residential project types
  • Contribute to a studio culture that takes design seriously

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) or Interior Architecture
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in architecture or architectural interior design
  • Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to construction document sets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of interior architecture (millwork, finish details, RCPs, lighting, and material coordination)
  • Single-family residential project experience, ideally custom or luxury homes
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience with wildfire rebuild projects or fire-resistant construction a notable plus

Benefits

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and must already possess long-term work authorization.
