Job Description

We are seeking a well-rounded Interior Designer / Architectural Designer to support a backlog of workplace design projects in New York. This individual will step into active projects and provide support across rendering, design development, and furniture specification, while also contributing to technical documentation and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality renderings using Enscape.
• Support furniture selection and specification (FF&E).
• Assist in space planning and design development.
• Contribute to construction documentation (CDs).
• Coordinate with internal leaders and external consultants (furniture, lighting, etc.).
• Support projects across multiple stages-from early concept through construction administration (CA).

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Enscape for rendering and visualization.
• Experience in BIM Modeling and Revit.
• Ability to select and specify furniture packages (FF&E).
• Space planning and design documentation skills.
• Experience with commercial interior design, particularly workplace and tenant fit-out projects.
• Ability to work independently and execute designs with minimal oversight.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in interior design or architecture.
• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Experience with workplace or commercial office projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Work Environment

• This position is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid work model of approximately 2-4 days in the office, depending on workload.
• The office provides access to a full design library, studio workspace, and complimentary food and beverages.
• The dress code is smart casual, and you will be part of a collaborative team of around 10 designers, supported by a broader construction and project team.
• Enjoy a flexible work environment with potential for long-term engagement or conversion to full-time employment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Jersey City, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
