About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural drafting, proficiency in industry-standard software, and a keen eye for precision. This role is crucial in translating conceptual designs into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings that guide the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software, primarily AutoCAD and Revit
  • Develop and maintain building information models (BIM) using Revit
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise and accurate drawings
  • Prepare construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
  • Assist in the development of project specifications and material schedules
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and documentation
  • Stay current with the latest drafting technologies and industry trends
  • Mentor junior drafters and provide technical guidance when needed

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural drafting
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with expert-level skills in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural drafting
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or 3ds Max
  • Familiarity with rendering software like V-Ray or Lumion
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification process
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam)
  • Certification in AutoCAD or Revit
