Architectural Drafter

GVD Renovations & Remodeling designs and builds decks, additions, and full-home remodels across the greater Sacramento area. We're looking for an Architectural Drafter to turn our project concepts into clean, buildable plans — from deck layouts and framing details to remodel drawings that move smoothly through plan check. We're flexible on the arrangement and welcome contractors, freelancers, and part-time candidates; on-site, hybrid, or remote can all work.What You'll Work On: Decking and outdoor-living plans, including framing and structural details.Kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodel drawings.Room additions and ADU construction documents.Permit sets prepared for submission to local building departments.Day-to-Day: Draft construction documents in Revit from designer notes, field measurements, and sketches.Produce plan sets that meet California building codes and city requirements.Turn around building-department corrections quickly and cleanly.Coordinate with project managers and designers to keep jobs moving.Handle several projects at once without letting the details slip.What You'll Need: Hands-on Revit experience (roughly 1-2 years or more).A background drafting residential remodels; deck and structural work is a strong plus.Comfort reading and responding to plan-check corrections.A solid grasp of how a complete construction document set comes together.Dependable communication and the discipline to hit deadlines independently.Nice to Have: Experience preparing permit-ready sets for California jurisdictions.Familiarity with local deck, addition, and ADU requirements.Comfort working independently with light oversight.Compensation: Competitive, hourly or per project, based on experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
