Position Summary: Designer/drafter is responsible for design and development of plans for the construction or modification of commercial, residential, agricultural, or industrial buildings. In addition, the drafter/designer is responsible for designing, planning, and drafting specifications for alterations and repair of existing structures or new building construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to efficiently produce architectural and structural plans with details Obtain state approvals Obtain necessary permits Obtain and review approval drawings, Assist Project Manager with onsite questions Attend job handoff with project manager and salesperson Attend approval meetings Ability to field measure a project
Qualifications/Requirements:
For consideration, the preferred candidate needs:
Minimum 2 Year Associate Degree in construction related field, and/or 5 years of similar experience with general knowledge of commercial construction Minimum 3 years' experience with REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Knowledge of current codes including IBC 2015, Energy Codes, and Wisconsin UDC. Ability to converse in verbal and written communications Ability to manage workloads that require deadlines
