About the role
We are seeking a motivated architectural professional that enjoys leading teams, managing projects from early planning through construction administration for hospitality projects. In this role, you will lead multiple projects through all phases of design and construction, ensuring quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate is proactive, autonomous, with a strong design judgement and values collaboration, leadership, mentorship and client relationships.
What you'll do
- Manage high-end hospitality projects with demonstrated experience across all phases.
- Monitor the design process from the conceptual phase through construction administration and guiding junior staff while maintaining design intent.
- Demonstrate confidence in engaging with high-profile clients, consultants, and contractors across all stages of project development and maintaining active communication on project progress.
- Collaborate in PM meetings to ensure reports and action items are handled timely and proactively.
- Develop project schedules to structure timelines and deliverables efficiently meet project milestones.
- Maintain ownership and accountability for overall project success.
- Translates design ideas into detailed models and high-quality renderings.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering growth and skill development.
Qualifications
- Professional Degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)
- 7+ years of work experience in the Architecture/Interior Design industry, particularly in high-end residential or hospitality design
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel periodically for projects outside the New York area
- Exceptional knowledge of design development, construction documentation and technical detailing
- Ability to work in a collaborative, design focused open environment
- Experience in training and guiding junior staff on the design process
