ARCollections Specialist

Kforce has a client in the Providence area seeking an AR/Collections Specialist to join their accounting operations team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers strong exposure to reinsurance accounting, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements within a complex financial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the follow-up and collection of outstanding balances, ensuring timely resolution
• Investigate billing or payment discrepancies and partner with internal teams and external parties to resolve issues
• Distribute invoices, statements, and supporting documentation to facilitate collections
• Perform cash application, account reconciliations, and support accurate financial reporting
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
• Compile reporting such as aging analyses to provide visibility into outstanding balances
• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, claims, treasury, and other internal groups, while also maintaining relationships with external partners
• Support process improvements, system enhancements, and ad hoc projects as needed
