    We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Area Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team! This role involves overseeing maintenance operations for long-term care facilities, primarily in the [Region/Area]. Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency with attendance are essential, as is the ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

    Your Impact as an Area Maintenance Supervisor

    In this role, you will:

    • Oversee Maintenance Operations: Supervise maintenance staff, schedules, and functions across multiple facilities.
    • Perform Maintenance Tasks: Ensure the physical plant and equipment are safe and functioning efficiently.
    • Manage Preventive Maintenance: Establish, implement, and audit preventive maintenance programs.
    • Supervise Contractors: Oversee outside contractors for necessary repairs and projects.
    • Maintain Safety Standards: Conduct and document inspections of fire control systems and coordinate monthly fire drills.
    • Promote Safety Awareness: Participate in new hire orientation to promote safety, disaster policy, and overall awareness.
    • Budget Management: Work within repair, maintenance, and project budgets.
    • Stock and Equipment Oversight: Order and maintain supplies and equipment, and repair tools as necessary.

    What Makes You a Great Fit

    We’re seeking someone who:

    • Has a high school diploma or GED (a college degree is desired).
    • Brings 2-5 years of experience in a long-term care maintenance role.
    • Has excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrates genuine care and interest in elderly and disabled individuals.
    • Complies with the Patient Bill of Rights, Employee Responsibilities, and safety policies.
    • Has experience with heating and air conditioning, boiler and water systems, washers, dryers, and emergency power generators. (HVAC experience is preferred but not required.)
    • Understands principles of preventive maintenance.
    • Practices safe defensive driving skills and qualifies for company insurance.
