About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Department of Housing contract based out of our Burswood office.

You will take overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of a large-scale residential maintenance contract, delivering services across the South-Metro area. This includes maintenance of tenanted and vacant properties, minor works and refurbishments.

You will lead a team of Supervisors and Coordinators, oversee our direct trade workforce and vendor network, and work closely with key clients and stakeholders to ensure strong service delivery, quality and performance.

This is an opportunity for a confident operational leader to take ownership of a significant contract and make a tangible difference to the communities we support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of the Department of Housing WA contract across South Metro Perth
• Lead, support and develop a high-performing operational and trade workforce
• Own contract budgets, commercial performance and delivery against KPIs
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Oversee quality assurance, safety and risk management across the contract
• Manage subcontractor and vendor performance and support supplier growth
• Monitor service delivery, financial performance and operational outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure a high standard of customer service

About You

You are an experienced operational or contract manager with a strong background in maintenance, facilities management, housing or a similar environment.

You are a confident leader with strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder skills and a hands-on approach to delivering results. You understand how to balance people leadership, customer service, safety, quality and commercial performance.

You will bring:

• Proven experience in operational or contract management within a maintenance, housing or facilities environment
• Strong leadership experience across supervisors, trades and operational teams
• Commercial and budget management experience
• Strong understanding of KPIs, service delivery and client management
• Experience managing direct workforces and subcontractor/vendor networks
• Strong focus on safety, quality and risk management
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
