Area OfficeService Coordinator

Area Customer Service Coordinator needed to support daily operations across multiple customer locations in the Southern Los Angeles area, including Torrance, Playa Vista, Hawthorne, and surrounding areas. This role supports mailroom operations, shipping and receiving, copy center services, reception, hospitality, conference room setups, and customer service functions. The position requires travel between sites, schedule flexibility, and the ability to adapt to different client environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations and contracted services at multiple customer locations.

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, freight, and international shipments.

  • Manage high-volume shipping and receiving activities using FedEx and other shipping systems.

  • Provide reception, hospitality, copy center, mailroom, and conference room support.

  • Assist with service implementations, account expansions, onboarding, and cross-training activities.

  • Maintain and review site procedure guides and support operational best practices.

  • Conduct routine site inspections for service quality, safety, and compliance.

  • Respond to customer requests, resolve service issues, and escalate concerns as needed.

  • Collect operational data and assist with reporting requirements.

  • Provide coverage for employee absences, vacations, training, and special projects.

  • Travel between multiple customer locations and report to alternate sites as required.

  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives and maintain a customer-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and at least 12 months of related work experience; post-secondary education preferred.

  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, approachable, responsive, and solution-focused demeanor.

  • Experience in mailroom operations and high-volume shipping and receiving environments.

  • Knowledge of international shipping processes and procedures.

  • Experience handling incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and freight shipments.

  • Experience using FedEx and other shipping systems/applications.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and general computer applications.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between customer locations within a 40–50 mile radius.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record may be required.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 6:00 PM.

  • Ability to support various customer environments, including legal, healthcare, insurance, education, and other industries.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

  • Ability to push or pull equipment on wheels when required.

  • Comfortable working in office and warehouse environments.

  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to submit expenses accurately and on time.

  • Ability to quickly learn site-specific procedures and absorb training effectively.
